All this discussion about Cameron's criticizm of DW has made me think things over re: the future of Frontier.

When all is said and done, Frontier is a terrific product. Period.

Sure, I'm concerned about investing my time and money in a product that may become irrelevant to my needs over time. BUT...

There is always a risk involved in basing your work on *any* software product. Frontier is not the first application I have used essentially created and owned by an outspoken individual... and, hey, I'm still using QuickBooks for my bookkeeping, which Intuit abandoned for the Mac about a year or so ago. (Darn near lost Quicken, too!)

Sure we'd love to see Dave more responsive to some of our feature requests... and maybe he will be. Then again, maybe the Fronier community will help make up for the things that DW cannot or will not do.

If Frontier is taken down a path that just doesn't work for me, I'll have to abandon it. That's the computer biz. But that hasn't happened yet. It may never happen.

In the meantime, I'm sticking with Frontier.

And, oh yes... I am all in favor of freedom of expression here, so long as it doesn't degenerate into useless flame wars. :-)
