No, I disagree, the choice is not between free speech and censorship. Even free speech in what we can call "democratic" countries is founded on a set of rules. When I started this thread, I was more thinking of an intervention of the kind "Please, don't use insults when you have to make a point.", and not "Your subscription will be terminated if you flame somebody.". Gee, people have been traumatized by the UserLand lists and want to go from an extreme to (sort of) an other.

Hey, its no anybody who have been insulted, and its significant that it has been on this list. In this intertext, there is power, position, credibility... That's why I though that too be fair, it was important that an administrator should have say something.

Anyway, I think that all the people from SM that have participated in this thread are disapproving the use of insults. And its not flaming around. So I don't want to stretch too far this thread (like I'm doing now).
