Hey guys, regarding DOODADS (the distributed object system), today I was playing around on my Linux box trying to find some script for Perl, and was intrigued by a scrpit called wwwodbc.

I tried getting some info on it, basically getting the readme file associated with it.

Check out the log of the transaction below. What I'm using is a program (in Perl) called CPAN (Comprehensive Perl Archive Network). The first command I use ("?") shows the help. Then I try to get the readme for wwwodbc. See how many websites CPAN tries to access, and in how many ways! From LWP (a HTTP client library written in Perl) to ncftp, lynx and many more... I thought it was a really cool thing. I hope one day we'll get that for Frontier.

Please check, if the URLs I found in your configuration file (ftp://ftp.digital.com/pub/plan/perl/CPAN/, ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/pub/perl/, ftp://ftp.cis.ufl.edu/pub/perl/CPAN/) are valid. The urllist can be edited. E.g. with ``o conf urllist push ftp://myurl/''
