Moving on (#16906)

You can pretty easily export your sites from Frontier into text files and use Elements
http://www.nthwave.net/elements/
to generate html from them.
If you can export your Frontier data tables as XML, Elements will handle the data no problem.
Elements builds static html files from templates and scripts and data. You'll still need to rebuild all your dynamic functionality.
Elements runs in Python. It plays nice with PHP code, javascript, .asp, .etc . . .
Condolences on the crash. Perhaps better days are ahead.

The sites, all related, provided local and world news, classified ads, calendar of events, and an opinion and comments forum for an island community of 10,000 people. Last week my server crashed, big time, and is still not up and running.

For one thing, I suspect that none of the Frontier hosting services would be interested in allowing my custom code on their machines. I've also received an offer of technical assistance (yay!) from someone quite familiar with Perl and PHP. So I'm now looking at low-cost hosting packages on non-Frontier servers.

What I want to do is closely replicate (or improve upon) the look and functionality of my existing sites. I'm looking for suggestions of Perl and PHP packages that can do that for me, with only moderate coding needed.
