Seriously, these situations can sometimes be tough when folks decide to part
career-paths. I want to thank Brent for joining the SM Community, but
(having lost key people in a real small shop, m'self) I gotta figure this is
pretty tough on Dave and UserLand...

So I'll just say that I've noticed that it's easy for people to show a lot
of class when they're riding the top of the wave... But you really get to
see a person's character when they handle the tough situations, like this
one. Brent's and Dave's posts on the subject last Friday (and I don't know
if there were any follow-ups)... Well, these are two class guys...

I don't know either of you, much, but I DO know that much.


I try to look for the win-win, in these situations. Brent gets an
opportunity to shine... And he's *already* doing that...!

And Dave and the guys at UserLand... Well.. ...Well Brent's still working
in the Frontier Community, which is great for them, and he's **off-a their
payroll, to boot**...! What could be better than that...! (Okay, that was
a fer stretch, but...)


All that a long-winded way of saying "Thanks Brent", based mainly on Dave's
and other's high opinion of you. And hope to get to know you better, with
you here in the SM Community...
