Well, actually this is a known weakness in Conversant's "email interface",
which is going to be addressed next month. So, the answer is, "yes, but
not today."
(We've worked out a plan for releasing Conversant's parts, and, due to its
long-toothedness, the email interface isn't going to be in the first
batch. Conversant is still complete and functional without it. Ahh, the
wonders of modularity!)
