I have to agree here that it's definitely a good idea to wait for your redesign. It's an excellent hook to draw people back.

I wanted to point out that there's been some commentary about other section (like tutorials) that need to be updated and relaunched, too. It might be a good idea to get those ready to go, as well, if that doesn't mean waiting too long. You have momentum now; don't risk losing it.
